Halloween is upon us again and what better way to embrace the scary season than dressing up in the style of Dia de Los Muertos! Otherwise known as The Day of the Dead, an Aztec ritual dating back to three-thousand years ago. While we don black and listen to solemn music to honour the dead, in Mexico people visit the cemetery where their loved ones rest and dance around in wooden skull masks. The grave stones are decorated with marigolds, candles, and toys are left for deceased children and tequila for the adults. While we see death as the end of life they embrace it as the continuation. This ritual actually occurs in early November but it works hand-in-hand with the night of Hallows don't you think? What you'll need:

♥ White face paint
♥ Sponge
♥ Eyeshadow in the colour of your choice
♥ A darker share of colour
♥ Emergency face wipes
♥ Gems
♥ Fake eyelashes and glue
♥ Floral crown (optional)

How easy is this? And such a mad effect... all you need to find is marble contact paper (remember that sticky roll of paper you used to cover your school books with)

Cut the desired amount and carefully peel onto the lid of your Mac (avoid air bubbles!).

Use a sharp utility knife to trim the edges carefully.

If you want the apple to show through, lift the lid of your Mac so you can see the shape and lightly/carefully trace around the shape with your knife then pull the paper off.

How easy is this!? To create a hair bow, simply follow these steps:

1. Take a small section from either side of the head and tie with a hair elastic at the back of your head, not pulling the ends through to create a small bun.

2. Split the bun in half with your fingers.

3. Clip one side while you work with the other - push it flat against your hair and bobby pin one going up and one going down to hold in place. Repeat with other side.

4. Take a section of hair from underneath and wind over the hair elastic to create the middle of the bow. Secure with bobby pins underneath.

1. Apply a base coat to your whole nail and allow to dry (this colour is perfect). Put sticky tape over your nail leaving the desired tip uncovered at the top.

2. Paint the uncovered tip with a metallic polish (try this one) and allow to dry. Do several coats if needed.

3. Carefully peel off the tape.

4. Apply a clear top coat.
